Hefang Old Street
Just a short walk from West Lake, Hefang Old Street is a pleasant, traditional-style shopping area featuring a variety of souvenirs and snacks. During the Song Dynasty (1127-1279), this area was the center of culture and commerce in Hangzhou, and the street maintains much of its old charm, including several century-old shops and buildings.
The main street can be crowded at times, so we recommend veering off into the side streets to get a more intimate look at some of the area's unique boutiques and teahouses.
